With over 25 years of management experience, Steve has run companies in financial services, process innovation and software solutions. He was the founder and CEO of Tegrit Financial Group, GaveKal Securities, Tegrit Technologies and LexMar Global and served as Special Advisor to Wafra Investments, a Kuwaiti owned investment firm. He is the Founder and Chief Provocateur of the Rushmore Center for Innovation where he leads seminars, workshops and keynote addresses on innovation for corporations and non-profit organizations.
In 2011, Steve received the Austin Fox Award for Exceptional Service to the Free Enterprise System. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Amherst College and an MBA in finance from NYU's Stern School of Business where he currently serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship.
Steve still plays competitive ice hockey without hurting himself or others, makes a mean risotto, and is proud father of two establishment-fighting children.
David brings to Kayon Partners over 25 years of venture capital and private equity experience. He was the co-founder of several investment groups including Velocity Equity Partners where he was a managing partner.
David's prior investments include: MGC Communications, 21st Century Telecom Group, CyberSource, Retail Solutions, Dotomi, CiDRA, The FeedRoom, and LexMar Global. Earlier in his career, David served in various corporate development roles at Farley Industries developing, analyzing and executing corporate acquisition strategies and restructuring alternatives for Fruit of the Loom, West Point Pepperell, Acme Boot Company and other Farley Industries-affiliated companies. He is a graduate of Amherst College and earned his MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
David participates annually in the Patriots Day Road Race in Lexington Massachusetts. He is the proud father of four extremely reverent children and one not so reverent Chocolate Lab.
Tim has spent 20 years managing, advising and building disruptive technology businesses across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Kayon Partners, he spent 10 years at Bloomberg L.P. as a strategist and new business developer. He served as the Global Head of Product Development for the Bloomberg Entity Exchange, which launched in the fall of 2015. He also served as Head of Product Design and Head of Engineering for Bloomberg Law, which launched in 2011 and won the American Association of Law Librarian's 2012 Best New Product of the Year Award.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, Tim spent 5 years in Europe & Asia advising internet service providers including Telefónica, Deutsche Telekom, Swisscom, and True Mobile. Tim began his career at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition developing technology for NASA and the US Navy. He received a BS in Computer Science from the University of West Florida and an MBA with emphasis on strategy and finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
Tim dances a mean salsa and is the proud father of a 2 year-old daughter with innovative ideas not to be shared with said father without a signed NDA.
